Conditions of Enrolment

To provide a well-organized and safe program, the following conditions have been set. Your cooperation in complying with the following conditions will assist us in ensuring your child has a safe and enjoyable experience at camp.

Note: if children or staff have any cold or flu-like symptoms they must stay at home and not come to camp. We will be very strict with this directive. When children or staff stay home with any of these symptoms, they must present themselves for a COVID-19 test and only return to camp once they have received clear evidence of the test being “negative”.

In the same way: if siblings or immediate family members present at home with any cold or flu-like symptoms, medical advice regarding children’s return to camp should be obtained.

If chidren develop any cold or flu-like symptoms during the course of the day, or are simply feeling unwell during the day, they need to inform a staff member, after which they will be sent to the front office and will be isolated until they can be picked up by a parent or carer and conveyed for testing. They may only return to camp after they have received a “negative” result from a COVID-19 test.

We cannot offer any form of refund or credit for children who are absent or sent home due to being unwell.

1. Our hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 9:00am - 2:30pm.  Drop off and pick up is at Dover Heights Shule, cnr Blake & Napier St.  Children who are dropped off outside of these times cannot be accepted under the supervision of our staff, and no responsibility can be taken for your child at that time.

2. In order to ensure your child’s safety all transportation to and from activities will be provided by a professional coach service.

3. For the safety of your child it is mandatory for all children to wear a DHS Camp T-Shirt. This can be purchased for $10 at the time of registration or when you drop your child at camp.

4. On arrival, the adult bringing the child at camp will be required to sign the child in with the time of arrival. If a child is to be collected by someone else other then the parent/guardian, or if a child is to leave camp by her/ himself, the parent must note this on the sign-in sheet. Children will not be released into the care of anyone other than the parent/guardian without written permission. When picking up your child you must sign him/her out with the time of pick-up.

5. If a child is unwell or involved in an accident and unable to join in activities during the day, parents will be contacted to collect him/her. In the event of a serious accident, children will be taken to the nearest medical assistance and parents will be notified as soon as possible. DHS camp has a First Aid Certificate holder present at all times who takes care of minor scrapes and bruises. We do not administer medicines under any circumstances without consent from parents/guardian. Please provide any medication and action plan that your child requires (asthma inhalers, EpiPen etc.)

6. We do not offer any refunds and cannot offer any credits due to the unique nature and timing of this years camp.

7. Please note that constant disruptions to the program may result in the child’s exclusion after consultation with the director and the parent.

8. The camp program and schedule may be altered or amended to accommodate weather conditions or due to unforeseen circumstances.
